By Yohanes Kabes
To you, the forsaken branches,
cut down by force,
severed from your source of life,
gazed upon as something unworthy of light. To the pond fish,
judged by the surface of the water,
ensnared by manipulative hooks,
strung with the nylon of hidden agendas—
they do not know the voice of the deepest water. You bear fruit, yet are cast into shadow.
Seized by hands that climb their egos
to reach the dizzying heights of validation.
Victims of a thirst for power and control,
they cut away the very ground beneath their feet
to crown themselves kings within their own narrow domains. They see you as a mere pebble,
tossed aside, buried in the depths.
Yet their blindness will crumble the throne
they so proudly occupy. You are a seed, nourished by hidden moisture,
a cutting from a branch long discarded.
Even in the pitch of darkness, in the heart of isolation,
there is always a way for roots to stretch and grow. You will rise.
Embrace the silence—dance with your solitude.
Show them that loneliness is not your enemy, but your beloved.
For one day, you will outgrow the thrones they built of ego.
You will reach for the stars—
rooted still, calm, and quietly blooming in the dark.
