by Yohnes Kabes
The drama you’ve played,
from the banal screenplay you wrote,
shows in every chameleon phase,
tantalizing in every scene you’ve entered.Exotic behind the mask,
so cozy within the burning soul,
captivating many at every break,
dancing through the prosaic veil. Here I sit upon my throne,
drinking from the waters of your silent tears.
Laughing — never dating with a voice,
you win — in the fake, perfect sails of your dreams.Relentless illusion binds you forever —
a king drowned in the valleys of camouflage.
Every box designed to steal your peace
cuts your throat and holds your soul yonder.
